Downloading TRIPS Export File
Advisors can request a file of all their Trips and Documents data. Please note that raw data exports are provided in JSON format only.
You can manually export any Trip by printing/saving it as a PDF from within the platform. Library documents can also be downloaded and saved as PDFs individually. We strongly recommend exporting any Trips or Documents you want to retain in a more accessible format (PDF).
Once your request has been actioned by the Customer Success Team, typically within seven days, you will receive a confirmation email, and you can proceed with Step 2.
Step 2: Download the export file
- Log in to your TRIPS account via Okta.
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner and select My Account.

- Select the Downloads tab from the My Account menu bar.

- Click the DOWNLOAD button next to the export.

NOTE: Download links automatically expire after seven (7) days. Please download the data before the Download Expiry date.
- Your .zip export file will now download.
- Locate the downloaded file and open (double-click) the file to extract the contents.

- Open the extracted folder.

- The exported folder will have a 'docs' folder containing the JSON file(s) of documents you created within the company (if applicable). The 'trip' folder will contain the JSON file(s) of trips you created within the company.

- Within the 'trip' folder there will be JSON files for all of your trips. Each file will contain a maximum of 1,000 trips, so you may have multiple files (e.g., trips-0.json, trips-1.json, etc.).
- The 'tripDocs' file contains the documents and file attachements added to trips and excludes the trip details that are included in the 'trips' files.
