Access and Update Online FC-NZ Bookings in Trips

This article applies to Flight Centre New Zeland.
Beginning Wednesday, June 23, 2021, customers booking flights on FlightCentre.co.nz will have their itineraries powered by Trips!

What does this mean?

  1. When a customer purchases flights on the Flight Centre website, a Trips itinerary is automatically created.
  2. The customer is sent the standard purchase confirmation email which will now include a link to the Trips digital itinerary.
  3. Customers can access their itinerary online and via the Flight Centre Mobile App (see this helpful guide you can share with your customers).
This is a great opportunity for the assigned Travel Expert to add value by updating the existing Trips itinerary (as required/when changes to an online booking are made). When you talk to your customer after updating their booking, simply say... 

"I'll be updating your existing itinerary, which you can access anywhere, anytime via the link in your confirmation email, from our Flight Centre app, email or as a PDF. I'll add my recommendations for XXXX city in as well!"

How to Update an Online Booking

When you make a change to an online booking's PNR in Sabre, simply place the PNR onto R81J 310
Use command QP/R81J310/11 to place the PNR on queue. Trips will update the customer Trip that was created at the time of booking on our website

How To Access an Online Booking

If you need to view or edit a Trip using Trip Publisher, follow the steps below:

Log in to Trip Publisher via Okta.

1. On your Dashboard, select OTHER COMPANY TRIPS.

2. Under Company, type "Online" to pull up the Flight Centre Online company profile - this is where all online bookings are created in Trips (Flight Centre Online NZ).

3. Under Keyword, you can enter the customer's email or their online confirmation number (located in the PNR remarks as REF Number).

4. Click Search to display the list of applicable bookings.

5. You can select either View Trip or Edit Trip.
